For one minute. For a good nights sleep. For stepping away from shoegazing for a while. For having a ball and throwing everything out the window. This will be the future:

At last, I find my way back to the beginning. Walking into a record store in Japan is a little like dying and going to heaven, or at the very least like a part of your soul suddenly goes freelance and gets the opportunity to run wild for half an hour or so.
Maybe it's nothing special with the stores in themselves. Perhaps it's just the fact that here, time stops. Like it used to be. Being able to listen to the music instead of browsing through it like you would a pair of socks, is liberating. Not having to ask permission to stand and explore. Not feeling ashamed that you don't already have a certain goal with your visit, the ultimate record knowledge, but that you are instead building it up, step by step and still finding your way.
This is why I still buy records, but to think of how close I was to forgetting that desire. To imagine the moral betrayal of the physical record I've experienced, but now I'm returning to the promised land. It's like everything, if only for a second, is back in order.

And oh, I got the killa shades, it's my time to shine. Cause I found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow and it's called
MGMT  -  time to pretend

PS. this is the rainbow:
